Farstad.us, LLC is a strategic business, technology and process improvement consulting firm headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Farstad.us has proven experience in strategic planning, program management, technology planning, design, acquisition, and implementation management, as well as relocation and business continuity planning

Our team includes seasoned professionals that not only have experience in the delivery of Farstad.us, LLC services, but also bring past experience working for telecommunications and information technology providers, public/private organizations and professional services organizations.

Government

  • State government
    • Telecommunications needs assessment and recommendations for strategic direction.
       
  • Municipal government
    • Program management for voice network design and implementation for 100+ facilities and 1500 remote city government locations combining traditional PBX and Voice over IP technologies.
    • Strategic planning, work flow analysis, design and build out for introduction of 311 services for municipal government.
    • Program management of a number of integrated technology initiatives to effectively remap and optimize the infrastructure used to support Public Safety, non-emergency and internal communications.
    • Strategic planning and implementation management for networked multi location 911 system providing one-button transfers for voice and data, extensive wireless-specific call-handling features, audio and visual incoming call alerts, dynamic call status indicators, and intelligent call prompting.
    • Program management of municipal wireless broadband strategy development and implementation for metropolitan area.

Financial Services

  • Bank Service Center – Design, acquisition and implementation management of wiring, telecommunications, contact center, LAN and meeting room technology.  Planning and program management for technology relocation process.
     
  • Retail Bank – Unstable VoIP network environment was left by previous vendor half way through implementation.  Farstad.us, LLC helped the customer stabilize the system and provided analysis of the situation which led to a recommendation to change vendors.  Farstad.us, LLC program oversight led to the successful implementation of the VoIP networking for the multi location bank.  Farstad.us, LLC also provided the client with recommendations and documentation that allowed them to successfully eliminate the financial burden placed on them by the original vendor.                                                                   
  • Internet / Mail Order / Finance Organization – Developed strategy, technical evaluation and packaging for the marketing and successful disposition of 170,000 square foot data center and office facility.                                                                                                                                  
  • Financial Services Organization -
    • Developed an Emergency Preparedness Disaster Recovery plan containing recovery scripts for all key communications systems spanning divisional headquarters, contact centers and data centers for a large financial services organization. 
    • Business Continuation Plan (BCP) development for a New Operation Facility, which housed all back office operations for the Organization. The plan, which addressed scenarios and recovery procedures for over 100 locations, was available remotely from any location on the internet.

  • Suburban School District – Telecommunications implementation that integrated traditional PBX with Voice over IP technology to increase use of data network to leverage private fiber plant and improve district-wide voice/data communications, including enhanced E-911 capabilities.
     
  • Urban School District – Technology master plan for 88-facility school district to define technology tools and innovative methods for enhancing communications, learning and improving administrative efficiency.

Healthcare

  • Medical Device Organization – Strategic enterprise communications plan for voice, data and multimedia inter-networking between sites and with remote clients and employees.      
  • County Medical Center – Strategic telecommunications plan for a 5000-station multi-site healthcare communications system.
     
  • Regional Healthcare System - Telecommunications planning, systems design, acquisition, and implementation management services for a regional healthcare system.  Design included 10 networked telecommunications systems, centralized attendant services, and intelligent attendant consoles.
